Regans Ridge is a family operated grove of 23,000 olive trees
planted on well drained gently undulating terrain in ideal
Mediterranean conditions. The grove thrives on our entirely organic
management practises.
Regans Ridge Olive Grove is located on the banks of the Moore
River, in the heart of Western Australia’s premium olive growing
country, 130 kms north of Perth in the Shire of Gingin. Click here for details and directions.
Regans Ridge produces premium quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil
and natural green and dark ripe table olives. The first trees were
planted in 1999 and include both oil and table olive varieties of
Tuscan, Greek, Spanish, Californian and Israeli origins. Oil varieties
include – Frantoio, Leccino, Picual, Koroneiki and Barnea. Table
olive varieties include – Manzanillo, Kalamata, Sevillano and
Californian Queen.
Because the grove is planted with 9 different varieties, we produce a
range of different styles of oils from mild and fruity styles to stronger
spicy and peppery styles. Oils are produced from either a single olive
variety or from more than one variety.
Prior to planting our first olive trees in 1999, Regans Ridge made
the decision not to use chemicals in any of our management and
processing practises. Composted organic and animal manures are used
and incorporated into the soil before planting and ongoing through
the irrigation system and broad acre spreading. Annual leaf, soil and
water analyses reports to us any elements that we need to amend so
as to maintain optimal growing conditions.
